A group of young men and women from the top Philippine universities shared a vision of becoming part of an organization that offers international clients a high-quality and cost-efficient alternative for their content processing needs. They sought to tap the skills and capabilities they have individually acquired from long and productive years of working in leading data services providers in the Philippines. Anchoring on critical assessments from their collective experience, the group set out to offer better and more reliable services to partner clients.
With this vision, Data Gateway Philippines came into existence.
Foremost in the corporation’s objectives is the utilization of more efficient operational procedures that address the setbacks confounding most clients in the Database Content Processing Industry, particularly chronic backlogs and poor quality work arising from project mismanagement. The group also set out to eliminate the inefficient bureaucratic processes evident in most established data services companies in outsourcing centers such as India and the Philippines.
The employee-oriented venture was formally incorporated in June 1999. Today, Data Gateway employs around 80 experienced editorial analysts, abstractors and indexers with an average of six (6) years of exposure to a diverse range of highly specialized industry and academic databases, and has processed over 2 million articles in its history.
