Company History

A group of young men and women from the top universities in the Philippines shared a vision of becoming part of an organization that offers international clients a high-quality and cost-efficient alternative for their data processing needs. This group sought to tap the skills and capabilities they have individually acquired in database processing through long and productive years of experience in leading data services providers in the Philippines, and offer improved services based on assessments from their collective experience.

Foremost in the corporation's objectives is the utilization of more efficient operational procedures that address the setbacks confounding most clients in the Database Industry, particularly chronic backlogs and poor quality work arising from project mismanagement, and inefficient bureaucratic processes evident in most established data processing companies in outsourcing centers such as India and the Philippines.

The employee-oriented venture was formally incorporated in June 1999. Today, Data Gateway employs around 50 experienced editorial analysts, abstractors and indexers with an average of six (6) years of exposure to highly specialized industry and academic databases. The company currently has six major abstracting and indexing projects.
